Some important dates for your diary :
This term runs from 1st September - 1st December excluding 13th October and 11th November.
Old Mill Sessions: We propose to go to the Old Mill for a few tunes after our Tuesday night class on the following dates: 22nd September, 20th October, 1st December - so get your baby sitters organised and join in.
Bodhran Taster Session: At Balfron High School evening Tues 11th November.
Gig at the Tolbooth: Malinky are playing at the Tolbooth - Thursday 12th November and Mike has invited Get Reel to be the support act for this. (very exciting - all on board for this one I hope !!)
Get Reel AGM: 17th November. Venue and time will be advised.
Fiddle 2009: Great weekend festival of fiddle playing in Edinburgh 13 to 15th Nov. All the information you need will be on the Web site. I read somewhere that they have slow sessions at this so may be worth going along for a few tunes.
St Andrews Night Ceilidh: To take place in the Village Hall in Killearn on Saturday 28th November for a St Andrews Night bash. Details still have to be worked out, but keep the date free for now and we'll keep you posted.
Last Night of Class: Tuesday 1st December.
Mandolin Taster Session: At Balfron High School evening Tues 8th December.
and finally
Jenna Reid at the Tolbooth: Jenna Reid, Shetland Fiddler, is playing at the Tolbooth on Saturday 26th September. If anyone would like to go to this, let me know and I'll see if I can get tickets and we'll have a wee Get Reel night out.
